Match Report

North Ferriby VS Silsden AFC

A five-star performance from North Ferriby FC lead them to a 5-0 win over Silsden at the Dransfield.

Chris Bolder’s side scored four goals in the second half and saw Danny Earl score a hat trick in a dominant display.

The Villagers had a let off in the early stages of the game, Jack Normanton was given the opportunity to run behind the Ferriby backline, before lifting the ball over Exall. The Villagers were able to clear.

The Villagers went on the attack and went close through Oli Donald. His header just a whisker wide of the post. Danny Emerton went close after great work from Josh Dennett. Emerton's effort just went wide of the goal.

The Villagers found a breakthrough halfway through the half. Josh Dennett’ long throw in meeting the head of Silsden’s Alex Laird, who looped the ball into his own goal.

Josh Morrall played an excellent ball into the box and found an open Josh Dennett. Dennett’s header was gathered by Kyle Welsh.

The Villagers would find their second goal in the second half. Danny Emerton’s corner found captain Niall Tilsley, who powered a header onto the bar. The hall dropped in front of the goal and T’Nique Fishley was on hand to put the ball past the line.

It would be three through an individual effort from Danny Earl. Josh Morrall played a pass to Earl down the left-hand side. Earl drove with the ball and seemed to be fouled by a Silsden defender. A good advantage from referee Ryan Coulson allowed Earl to get back up and continue his run. From an angle, Earl placed an unstoppable shot past Welsh.

Earl would make it four when a good through ball from substitute Amir Berchil found the forward. Earl got past the defence before placing the ball past Welsh.

The visitors would be reduced to ten men when captain Kyle Hancock received a second yellow card.

Earl would wrap up his hat trick when Josh Dennett played a good ball down the right to Berchil. Berchil unselfishly played the ball to Earl who just had to poke the ball home.

The win makes it ten in a row for Chris Bolder’s side and makes it five clean sheets in a row.

Chris Bolder shared his thoughts after the game, “It was a fantastic performance, fantastic result. I think the second half we’ve played some of the best football we’ve played under Paul and myself, it was a pleasure to watch, we’ve created an abundance of goal scoring opportunities and scored some wonderful goals as well”.
