Match Report
North Ferriby VS
Hallam
The Villagers opening Home Fixture of the Northern Premier League East Division ended all square as Ferriby claimed their first point of the campaign.
The positive aura from the opening day at Dunston continued as they took to the field at the Versa Sportswear Stadium, and once again, should not be deterred following a positive, hardworking performance.
A positive Ferriby began well, playing some attractive football as Elliott Walker and Lewis Dennison proved key in the Villagers attack, both came close to breaking the deadlock.
The only think that was missing from a fine performance was a goal, and soon after the half hour mark, Jack Johnson was on hand to finish off another fantastic passage of football, to take the lead.
Continuing their positivity and hard work, the Villagers caught the eye, not only in attack but also defensively to shut the door on Hallam at every turn, as they went into the break with the lead.
It was a new half, yet Ferriby’s desire never failed, and a quick start from Ferriby, almost saw them double their lead following another fine move saw Lewis Dennison’s strike palmed away for a corner kick.
The Hard work continued, however, shortly after the hour, Hallam were awarded a questionable penalty and saw it converted by Stephen Brogan, three minutes later however, Niall Tilsley nullified the leveller with a thunderous skipper’sgoal.
A confident Ferriby continued their pursuit of victory, continuing in a fine manner, however, the scoring wasn’t to end their as Hallam scrambled home a second equalising goal with a matter of minutes remaining.
