Match Report

North Ferriby VS Emley AFC

North Ferriby claimed another point at the Versa Sportswear Stadium following a goalless draw in the Northern Premier League East Division.

The grey clouds rumbled over the Grange Lane as Ferriby were drawn into early action, Ben Bottomley denied the visitors with a great double save at the allotment end.

The villagers looked to take the initiative thereafter, both Lewis Dennison and St Juste were handed prime opportunities to take an early advantage only to be denied by the visiting defence.

The hosts continued their confident approach as Lewis Dennison once again came millimetres away from scoring after fantastic delivery from returning Elliott Walker.

The visitors were handed a dangerous free kick in the later moments of the tie, before Jason St Juste was played in to space only to rifle a strong effort direct to Declan Lambton.

It was new half of football, as the visitors began well, however, a hard working and strong defensive show from the Villagers denied the West Yorkshire side at every turn.

A number of set pieces offered opportunity to the home side before the hour mark, once again, it was the defensive showing that prevailed.

Once again, the visitors looked to press for an opening goal only to be denied by a very structured and hard working Villagers side, to see us to the full time whistle and another good point.
