Brighouse Town
North Ferriby Football Club claimed a fine Non League Day victory after a four-nil victory against Brighouse Town at the Versa Sportswear Stadium.
A dominant performance from the Villagers entertained a five hundred plus crowd to claim victory by the biggest margin this campaign.
The Ferriby offensive began early, as both Josh Thacker and Lewis Dennison saw goal scoring opportunities go agonisingly wide inside the opening ten minutes.
A brief spell of relief for the visiting defence then ensued, but Ferriby were soon back on the press, following a brilliant passage of play from Tom McDonald culminated in back to back corners after twenty minute.
The visitors did enjoy a brace of half chances, but weren’t to phase the Villagers who then came very close to opening the scoring as Josh Thacker’s corner almost caught Michael Acquah out.
Ferriby’s push for that opening goal intensified with some fantastic football saw both Charlie Dunkerley and Rio Molyneaux coming agonisingly close.
A new half of football dawned, and the Villagers couldn’t have got off to a more perfect of start. Half time substitute Benn Lewis nodded home from a corner inside the first minute of play.
Lewis Dennison came very close to doubling the host lead ten minutes later after firing a headed effort straight at Michael Acquah.
Shortly after the hour, the Villagers grabbed their second, a fine passage from Lewis Dennison fed Rio Molyneaux through on goal who calmly slotted the ball home.
A change in personnel, Ferriby breeder confidence as they added to their tally twelve from time; Brandon Murillo netting against his former club.
Ferriby very much remained on the front foot, and capped off a stellar performance as Rio Molyneaux netted his second and the Villagers fourth inside the final ten.
