Campion
The Viillagers FA Cup dream remains alive as they advanced in the world’s oldest domestic cup competition following a two goals to one victory against Campion AFC at the Versa Sportswear Stadium.
As with the Villagers midweek victory in the league, it didn’t take them long to get on the scoresheet; Mason Johnson nodded the ball home with less than three minutes on the clock.

With seventeen minutes on the clock, the tie saw it’s second goal, with the visitors pulling level through Ewan Gregson’s well taken strike from the eighteen yard line.
Approaching the thirty minute mark, the Villagers came agonisingly close to regaining the lead after a fantastic passage of play saw a good effort on goal palmed away.
Five minutes later, the villagers claimed for a penalty kick after seeing Lewis Dennison along with his marker, come to ground, though the match officials had none of it.
Six minutes from the break, the Villagers out of nothing, regained the lead after a delightful ball in from the left by Jack Boyle found the head of Mason Johnson, to see the Villagers ahead at the break.
It was a new half of football, but a similar story commenced, as the perfectly battled performance from the two participants continued in an entertaining FA Cup encounter.
The first real threat on goal for the second half, came six minutes after the restart as Ferriby’s number one showcased his talents to keep the visiting Campion at arms reach.
